Best Buy Expands Magnolia Presence in California

Best Buy announced that it will open new Magnolia Design Centers this week in the San Francisco Best Buy store on Harrison St. and in the Mission Valley Best Buy location.

According to the statement, new Magnolia Design Centers in Roseville and San Carlos stores also opened their doors for business in recent weeks.

Best Buy® Opens Four New Magnolia Design Centers in California

New showroom brings elite home theater brands, premier audio products, and complete home automation and energy management systems to customers in San Francisco, Mission Valley, Roseville and San Carlos

MINNEAPOLIS–Best Buy (NYSE: BBY) today announced the expansion of Magnolia, the company’s premium home entertainment and electronics brand, in four key markets throughout California. The nation’s leading consumer electronics retailer will open two new Magnolia Design Centers this week in the San Francisco Best Buy Store on Harrison St. and in the Mission Valley Best Buy store, respectively. New Magnolia Design Centers in Roseville and San Carlos stores opened their doors for business in recent weeks as well. These new locations will help support surrounding boutique stores, serving as centralized hubs for the broader region.

Magnolia provides a unique experiential shopping environment for those who want high-end home theater equipment and expertise that can’t be found elsewhere. There are 383 branded boutique Magnolia Home Theater “stores within a store” already existing within existing Best Buy locations nationwide, but the four new Design Centers opening throughout the state bring the total to just six of their kind in the country. The new store will offer high-performance audio and video solutions with a broad assortment of premium brands, such as McIntosh, Bowers&Wilkins, NuVision, Martin Logan, Pioneer Elite, Sonus faber and Control4. The design center will also offer state-of-the-art services like solar solutions, whole home automation and outdoor electronics.

The new Magnolia Design Center showrooms located within Best Buy locations include a fully functioning theater, great room and an outdoor living space Within the space are lifestyle vignettes that focus on rooms throughout the home. For example, the bedroom houses a dresser with an HDTV that rises in and out of it with the push of a button. The bathroom features a flat screen HDTV built inside a mirror that is invisible until the TV is turned on. With every turn the technology is awe-inspiring, boasting some of the world’s best and largest HDTVs, including 3D models, to a Control4 system that allows you to control nearly every aspect of your house, from your home theater system to your lights, temperature and security, all from one simple remote.
