TV France International becomes first EIDR service bureau in France
Biarritz, TVFI “Rendez-Vous”, 9 September 2015. TV France International announced today that it has joined the EIDR consortium, also becoming the first EIDR service bureau in France. TV France International’s mission is to promote and support the marketing and sales of French TV programs worldwide, as well as facilitate international co-productions. TV France International supports a membership of more than 150 French content providers.
The Entertainment Identifier Registry (“EIDR”) is an International standard and web service for premium audio-visual content identification, as well as cross resolution and cross-reference of content identifiers. The consortium now counts more than 80 members, across the entire digital content ecosystem, from creation to programming, distribution, infrastructure, audience measurement and royalty reporting.
“Digital distribution is now the name of the game” said Mathieu Béjot, Managing Director, TV France International. “As more and more buyers and distributors of content now rely on digital avails and workflows, it becomes a necessity to make those catalogs and titles visible in such programmatic fashion. With EIDR becoming the lingua franca of content identification on a worldwide basis, we now join and expand our reach to an International digital distribution ecosystem for the benefit of our members”.
“TV France International is our first service bureau for the French market” said Don Dulchinos, Executive Director of EIDR. “We applaud their leadership, and welcome the impending visibility of the French production on an International level. From our International distributor members, to infrastructure vendors which serve the French production ecosystem, EIDR will do its small part to extend the amazing work which TV France International has done for the marketplace to date”.
