* On Saturday, March 26, 2011, Future Shop is opening its doors of its downtown stores in Toronto and Vancouver at 11:59 p.m. local time to offer eager customers the new Nintendo 3DS.

* Nintendo Canada is hosting interactive launch parties in both cities. Customers will be led to downtown Future Shop stores to be among the first Canadians to own and experience the Nintendo 3DS. Customers in line at the two participating Future Shop store locations have chances to win $400 gift cards, more than covering the cost of the Nintendo 3DS, games and accessories.

BURNABY, BC, March 16 – On Saturday, March 26, 2011, Future Shop, Canada’s largest retailer and etailer of consumer electronics, is opening its doors of its downtown stores in Toronto and Vancouver at 11:59 p.m. local time to offer eager customers the chance to get their hands on the Nintendo 3DS.

One of this year’s most exciting gaming technologies, Nintendo 3DS offers two screens – one of which requires no glasses to view in 3D, a telescopic stylus pen, motion and gyro sensors to detect motion, and much more. The Nintendo 3DS retails for $249.99 and is available now for pre-order in two colours at www.futureshop.ca.
