Integra Delivers Two 3D-Ready AV Controllers for High-End Custom Installations
ATLANTA (9/20/10) — Integra has introduced two THX Ultra 2 Plus certified, 3D-Ready, and network capable audio-video preamplifier processors. The Integra DHC-80.2 has 9.2-channels and professional-grade balanced outputs, and the DHC-40.2 has 7.2-channels and single-ended connections.
Integra, as the number one brand for custom installers and systems integrators, has designed these AV controllers to each function as the centerpiece of a sophisticated home theater and home audio entertainment system with exceptional multi-zone capabilities. With eight 3D-Ready HDMI 1.4a inputs on the DHC-80.2 and seven on the DHC-40.2, they are capable of supporting a full compliment of high-tech AV sources and delivering those signals to state of the art video displays, including 3D systems. HDMI 1.4a also supports the ultimate in lossless digital audio via Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio, plus Audio Return Channel and HDMI Thru.
Both of these AV controllers also support legacy audio and video technologies with a wide array of digital audio, analog component video, analog audio, and even phonograph inputs. The DHC-80.2 uses HQV Reon-VX processing to provide video upscaling of all sources to 1080p, while the DHC-40.2 upscales HDMI sources to 1080p using Faroudja DCDi Cinema processing. Both systems also have full ISFccc Certified Calibration Controls to support individual color calibration for all video inputs.
As would be expected, the 9.2-channel Integra DHC-80.2 is well equipped with the latest audio processing from Audyssey, Dolby, DTS, and THX. It is one of Integra’s first products to be equipped with the new top-of-the-line Audyssey MultEQ XT32 advanced room equalizer and included SUB EQ HT, which properly combines the sound of two subwoofers in a room. The DHC-80.2 and DHC-40.2 support the added acoustic dimensions of Dolby Pro Logic IIz and height or width expansion provided by Audyssey DSX, with the 9.2-channel systems capable of combining height channels plus rear surround. For those who sometimes play their systems low volume levels, the DHC-80.2 includes Dolby Volume and both models include Audyssey Dynamic Volume and Dynamic EQ.
Both models have extensive audio networking and Internet radio capabilities using built-in Ethernet and USB interfaces. These connections are also used for firmware updates, and the USB interface ensures these models are ‘Made for iPod/iPhone.’ Both systems are certified for Windows 7 and DLNA Version 1.5. Internet Radio connectivity is configured for the popular commercial portals, Pandora, Rhapsody, Sirius Internet Radio, Napster, Mediafly, Slacker, and vTuner.
Like all Integra products, these include extensive custom integration features, with bi-directional Ethernet and RS232 interfaces, up-to Zone 3 capabilities on the DHC-80.2, three programmable triggers, two IR inputs and one output, and lockable dealer settings. Both systems are Sirius Satellite and HD Radio Ready, and have 40 AM/FM/Sirius radio presets.
Both units are intended for use with outboard audio power amplifiers such as the Integra DTA-70.1 rated at 9×150 Watts.
The Integra DHC-80.2 will be available in October with a suggested retail price of $2,300, while the DHC-40.2 is now available for $1,200.
