September 02, 2010 — Berlin, Germany – The 3D movie experience has never been brought to life at home with such realism before: Philips 3D home entertainment products fill your room with stunning HD picture quality, immersive detail and enveloping surround sound, transporting you to the heart of the action. A full suite of 3D products including Full HD 3D LED Televisions, Home Theater Systems and Blu-ray Disc players transform your home into the ultimate entertainment hub, where you’ll be captivated by the realistic scenes, true-to-life performances, and atmospheric sound, just as the director intended.

Central to your 3D cinema setup is the best-in-class Philips Cinema 21:9 Platinum Series TV, the world’s first cinema-proportioned Full HD 3D LED Television. Delivering an unrivalled cinematic experience at home, the Cinema 21:9 Platinum Series presents movies in true-to-life 3D. By displaying them in the original 21:9 aspect ratio on the 58” Full HD screen, you won’t see a distorted aspect ratio or distracting black bars at the top and bottom of your screen – but simply an uncompromised movie experience.

In a notable addition, the Cinema 21:9 Platinum Series also features new Bright Pro technology to enhance the picture clarity even more. Bright Pro boosts light output on sections of your screen while maintaining the very dark sections in the same scene, to produce exceptional contrast from every angle. The Cinema 21:9 Platinum Series also includes a high-powered 3D transmitter integrated into the frame of the TV that communicates with as many Active 3D glasses as you wish. When combined with Bright Pro, you’ll feel like you can reach out and touch the actors, just like the 3D cinematic experience you get in a movie theater.

Cinema 21:9 Platinum Series is equally accomplished in 2D. Award-winning picture quality is further enhanced through the Philips Perfect Pixel HD processing engine and built-in LED Pro, delivering unparalleled sharpness, vibrant colors, extreme detail, and smooth natural motion. The wall adaptive Ambilight Spectra on three sides adds a new dimension to your viewing experience and enhances your room: by identifying dominant colors onscreen, Ambilight perfectly matches them to your surroundings by projecting harmonized ambient lighting onto the walls behind, filing your room with instant action. New for 2010, Ambilight Spectra delivers even more precise color matching and almost seamless continuation of motion, transforming your room into the perfect place to escape.

To fully enjoy the best high definition 3D movie experience you need a player that supports the 3D format in high quality. Philips has already introduced a full range of 3D ready Blu-ray players in 2010, and now tops the range with the high-end Philips 9000 series 3D Blu-ray player that combines style with substance in the perfect package. Philips 3D Blu-ray delivers the most realistic visual experience on your 3D TV, with built-in Qdeo video processing to produce the finest natural images with an enhanced sense of depth. The player comes in a solid 3mm aluminum housing, ensuring optimum performance in a simple, classic design to complement your home surroundings.

Best-in-class TI Burr-Brown analog to digital convertors produce rich realistic sound through 7.1 channels, immersing your room in highly detailed surround sound scores from all of your favorite movies. Your home is effortlessly connected through the player’s integrated WiFi and DLNA Network Link, with built-in Net TV enabling you to connect to popular online services at the touch of a button.

If you’re looking for a complete home cinema setup the Philips Immersive Sound HD home theater with 360Sound and 3D Blu-ray Disc playback effortlessly completes the ultimate cinema experience package.
