According to the statement, Rimage’s Professional Series 5400N and 3400 are compact, all-in-one solutions designed specifically for retail applications and disc publishing in front office settings. The Professional Series offers an entry point into on-demand disc publishing, allowing single users or workgroups to create discs as easily as they print to the office printer. These systems provide an integrated solution, in a compact footprint, that combines printing from Rimage’s Everest thermal retransfer print system with full disc publishing capability for CDs, DVDs and Blu-ray Discs (BDs).
The new models feature a rotating input carousel with three bins enabling users to keep CDs, DVDs, and Blu-ray Discs (BDs) available at all times. Both units are available with Rimage QuickDisc for PCs and DiscFlow for Macs.
The 5400N offers 150 disc capacity (three 50-disc input bins), two recorders (2 CD/DVD, 1 CD/DVD and 1 BD, 2 BD), an Everest 400 printer as well as an embedded control center while the 3400 lacks the embedded PC.
The Rimage Professional Series 3400 carries an MSRP of $7,950 and the 5400N is $11,950.
