IHS iSuppli announced it forecasts that global factory shipments of DisplayPort-enabled PC equipment will amount to 78.9 million units in 2011, up 154.6% from 2010.

VGA R.I.P. 1987-2015

Intel and AMD (with the support of Dell, Lenovo, LG Display and Samsung Electronics) announced that, by 2015, they will end PC support for analog display outputs (VGA, LVDS, DVI-I) and move to all digital interfaces (DisplayPort, HDMI).
