Sony Electronics announced two new SXRD home theater projectors at CEDIA Expo, the VPL-VW90ES (3D) and VPL-VWPRO1 (2D). According to the statement, the VPL-VW90ES SXRD (3D) will be available in November for $10,000 while the VPL-VWPRO1 (2D) will ship in early October for $3,400.

Sony Launches VPL-VW90ES 3D Home Projector

Sony Europe announced its first 3D home projector, the VPL-VW90ES. According to the statement, based on the active glasses technology used in Sony’s 3D TV range, the VPL-VW90ES is equipped with Sony’s Advanced Iris 3 technology, enabling a dynamic contrast ratio of 150,000:1.
