JEDEC Readies Universal Flash Storage (UFS) Standard

JEDEC Solid State Technology Association announced that it will soon publish specifications for Universal Flash Storage (UFS), which promises data throughput of 300 megabytes per second (MB/s) as well as support command queuing features to raise random read/write speeds.
