Viaplay selects Irdeto ActiveCloak™ for Media to securely deliver more OTT entertainment to consumers
Viaplay expands the reach of its leading OTT service to obtain more compelling content for consumers with Irdeto’s renewable, dynamic software security solution
AMSTERDAM – 3 July 2012 – Irdeto, a global software security and media technology company, today announced that Viaplay has expanded its relationship with the company to include the deployment of Irdeto ActiveCloak™ for Media. Irdeto ActiveCloak for Media is a dynamic and renewable software security solution which protects media applications and content on the most popular consumer devices. Viaplay, the over-the top (OTT) company of MTG, is using Irdeto ActiveCloak for Media to allow it to expand the range of devices from which consumers can view premium content, starting with the iPhone and iPad. With ActiveCloak protection, Viaplay is able to further establish itself as a trusted OTT distributor for content owners, studios and rights holders.
