Jargon Technologies Announces Indigo Ultra™ Distribution Partner in Europe
Next generation Blu-ray authoring platform now available to European customers through Germany-based Silicon Philosophies.
Amsterdam, Netherlands, September 09, 2015 — Jargon Technologies announced the availability of Indigo Ultra™, a comprehensive authoring platform for Blu-ray™, Blu-ray 3D™ and Ultra HD Blu-ray™ to European post-production facilities, via German software distributor Silicon Philosophies. Based on Panasonic’s original authoring platform, Indigo Ultra provides an efficient, easy to use solution for authoring complex next-generation titles.
The beta release of Indigo Ultra has been available to select partner facilities since July of this year and the commercial release is on track for September 30. The application is already being used to author the highest profile Hollywood launch titles.
“Silicon Philosophies, developer of the popular Cinema Craft family of encoders is an ideal partner for us”, said Bhanu Srikanth, CEO of Jargon. “Their product is complementary to ours and together will empower our clients to bring Ultra HD Blu-ray titles to the market quickly”.
“We have the highest regard for Jargon’s prowess as engineers and welcome this partnership”, confirms Silicon Philosophies’ CEO, Miguel Clarke. “Indigo Ultra™ is a welcome alternative to the authoring options which might become available to post-production facilities. The collaboration should extend both of our installed user-bases to facilitate acceptance of the Home Entertainment 4K Ultra HD format”, adds Clarke.
Key features of Indigo Ultra Beta include the following:
• Import and multiplexing of HEVC SDR & HDR streams at all specification defined frame-rates, resolutions, bit-depths and color spaces
• Import static meta-data
• Support for HDR HDMV Menus
• Support for Dual Streams
• Support for HDR subtitles
• Layout of 50GB, 66GB & 100GB disc sizes
• Dual zone – High & Low Transfer Rate
• All mandatory Blu-ray™ & Blu-ray 3D™ features
